Alex Hotel is a 74-room independent boutique property sitting right on the edge of Perth's Cultural Centre in Northbridge. It was founded by the entrepreneurial crew behind Little Creatures Brewery — Howard Cearns, David Martin, Nic Trimboli, Adrian Fini, and Miles Hull — and the food-and-drink DNA runs through every corner of the place. Interiors by Sydney studio Arent & Pyke lean industrial-chic: glass-wrapped lobby, Scandinavian-influenced rooms with hand-crafted furniture, and a rooftop terrace that becomes the social hub at sunset.

The entry-level room and no apologies needed. It's compact at 15–17sqm, but the King bed is generous and the walk-in rainshower is a proper one. This is a room designed for sleeping well and heading out — not for lounging around in.
