Algodon Wine Estates is a 4,138-acre working wine and golf resort in the Cuadro Benegas district of San Rafael, Mendoza — south of the main Mendoza wine corridor but with its own serious terroir. Golf literally plays through vineyards, olive groves, and orchards, with the snowcapped Andes on the horizon. The boutique accommodation sits across two buildings: a 1921 adobe-walled casona and a newer lodge, keeping the guest count small and the atmosphere genuinely unhurried.

Casa Gaucho
A sprawling private villa set within a historic 1946 Malbec vineyard and a 12-acre olive grove, overlooking the 9th hole of the golf course. Three bedrooms (king suite, queen suite, single suite) plus a living room loft with a sleeper sofa — up to seven guests. Private pool and pool house with asado grill, fire pit, and rooftop jacuzzi with vineyard and mountain views. The showpiece is a 700 sq ft (65 m2) underground wine cellar with private dining area. Old-world European style with locally sourced Sierra Pintada stone and wood.

Classic Suite
Three Classic Suites in the original Algodon Villa, a casona built in 1921 that still has its adobe walls and rustic cane roof. Contemporary amenities inside, but the building itself has real age and character. Locally quarried stone and wood finishes, a cozy fireplace, and access to an intimate gallery. Good vineyard views from the patio.

Five Superior Suites in the Wine & Golf Lodge — newer construction than the casona but with the same wine-country aesthetic: wood accents, locally quarried stone in the bathrooms, and fireplaces. Guided tours of the estate's 325-acre vineyard (vines dating to 1946) and boutique bodega. Wine tastings are hosted at the restaurant or winery and can be customized for groups. Tasting with cheeses and charcuterie is the standard format. Reservations required in advance.
Golf plays through the estate's actual working vineyards, natural water reservoirs, olive groves, and walnut, pear, and plum orchards — with the Sierra Pintada and Andes ranges on the horizon. Originally designed by the grandson of José Jurado, the pioneer of Argentine Professional Golf. Five tee boxes accommodate all ability levels including families. Driving range with six greens (85–225 yards), grass teeing area, practice sand trap, chipping and putting greens.
