Almanac Barcelona is a 5-star boutique hotel occupying two fused buildings on Gran Via — one 19th-century, one 20th — right off Passeig de Gràcia in the Eixample Dreta. Chilean-born designer Jaime Beriestain did the interiors, pulling from Art Deco, mid-century modernism, and a warm contemporary palette without letting any single era dominate. The result is high-ceilinged, sun-filled rooms with white marble bathrooms, custom Austrian beds, and bath products by local Barcelona perfumer Jimmy Boyd. Ninety-one rooms in total. The entry-level room, but anything but ordinary. At 32 sqm, it fits a king or two twins, full-length windows flooding the space with natural light, and a white marble bathroom with gold fixtures. Views look onto Gran Via — either through a modern cube window on the new facade or a classic opening on the original 19th-century modernist facade. Clean-lined, high-tech, and genuinely warm.

At 47 sqm, this is a proper two-room suite: separate bedroom and sitting area, so you can actually watch TV without disturbing whoever's trying to sleep. At 65 sqm with a private terrace complete with lounge chairs, a fire pit, and potted palms, each Terrace Suite has been reimagined by a different Barcelona artist — making them genuinely distinct from one another. The living room flows directly onto the deck. Marble bathroom with freestanding tub. The fire pit and rooftop-adjacent position make these the most atmospheric rooms in the hotel.
