AMARA is a 207-room ultra-luxury beachfront resort on the Limassol coastline, where every room faces the sea at 180°. The building sits near the ancient ruins of the Kingdom of Amathus — and when they were digging foundations for the spa, workers actually unearthed part of Limassol's ancient city walls, which are now preserved and displayed inside it. The design is all gleaming marble, triple-height ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling glass, the work of SB Architects, David Rockwell Studio, and Wilson & Associates. Dining is a genuine reason to stay here: Nobu Matsuhisa and Giorgio Locatelli both have restaurants on-site, alongside the Monte Carlo–born Beefbar and a dedicated seafood spot right at the water's edge.
