andBeyond Vira Vira is a 22-hectare working farm and luxury lodge on the banks of the Liucura River, with Villarrica Volcano dominating the skyline. The main lodge is built from lenga wood with floor-to-ceiling windows, hand-woven Mapuche textiles on the walls, and a leather bar stocked with over 1,000 Chilean wines. It runs all-inclusive — meals, guided excursions, and massages are folded into the rate — which means every day is planned (or not planned) as you like it.

The original owner's residence, available for exclusive buyout. Five bedrooms total — one master with its own outdoor hot tub, three others with ensuite bathrooms. Decorated with local art, textiles, and unique furnishings. Comes with an open living and dining area, a second-floor family room, covered balcony with veranda, and a garden terrace. Ideal for multigenerational families or groups.
Multiple (5 bedrooms)
Junior Suite
Spacious suites in the main lodge building ranging from 35–45 sqm. Individually decorated with local textiles and artworks, large bathrooms (approx. 12 sqm), balconies with views of the river or Villarrica Volcano, and large windows that let morning sun flood in. Same warm earth-tone aesthetic as the villas but a shorter walk to the restaurant and bar.

Senior Suite
Larger suites (approx. 75 sqm) in separate apartments, most located directly on the Liucura River. Each comes with a fireplace, a spacious living area, large bathroom, terrace overlooking the river or volcano, and an outdoor hot tub. Split-level, 800 sq ft riverside villas set directly on the banks of the Liucura River. Floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, radiant floor heating, sunken living room, and a minibar stocked with wine, beer, and champagne (all included). Each has an indoor soaking tub AND a private outdoor tub on the riverfront terrace — guests can fly-fish straight from their patio. A wood-burning fireplace rounds it out.

A tour of the on-site boutique cheese factory led by Anita, the cheese master. The facility produces parmesan, gruyère, blue, and camembert, as well as yogurt and butter. About 200 gallons of milk from a local dairy farm are processed weekly.
Guided tour of the working organic vegetable garden that supplies the restaurant. Includes insight into the farm-to-table philosophy.
Dog sledding with a pack of Huskies — a winter-season exclusive.
Winter activity (Jun–Sep). The lodge provides free ski shuttle, ski passes, and ski storage. The volcanic terrain creates natural half-pipes, cornices, and wind lips for more advanced riders.
Guided snowshoe treks through the national park in winter. Starts and ends with hot chocolate.
Fly-fishing on the Liucura River directly from the lodge grounds or upstream. Catch-and-release only. Villa guests can fish from their private terraces.
The lodge has an on-site helicopter and pilot available seasonally. Options include panoramic volcano flights, heli-fishing, and heli-skiing.
Guided horseback rides through the estate and surrounding terrain. Suitable for families with children.
Guided rafting on the Liucura River. Suitable for various skill levels.
Visit to Doña Rosario's traditional Mapuche ruka (house) in the local community of Curarrehue. She prepares a home-cooked meal for guests and shares traditional cooking techniques. Also includes a demonstration of indigenous weaving on a wooden loom.
Guided hikes through Huerquehue National Park (approx. 23 km from the lodge), home to 1,000-year-old Araucaria (monkey puzzle) trees.
A guided hike to the summit of the active Villarrica Volcano — crampons and gear provided. One of the most dramatic day activities in all of South America. Clear days reward with views over the entire Lake District.
Guided excursion to natural hot springs in the region, powered by the area's active volcanic geology.
