AWA Holbox sits right on the beach on Isla Holbox — one of only a handful of hotels that actually has direct sand access on this increasingly crowded island. Built in 2023 and renovated in 2024, it's a compact, three-floor property with 33 suites, two pools (one ground-level, one rooftop), and three distinct dining venues. The design is contemporary without being cold: poured concrete floors, exposed wooden beams, gauzy white curtains, and thatched-roof pool cabanas all nod to the island's character. It's about a 10-minute golf cart ride from the ferry terminal, so getting here requires a bit of planning.
