Bellagio
Ornate Italian-inspired grand resort with over-the-top lobbies, a serious fine dining roster, and a casino that runs 24/7. Less edgy than its Strip neighbors, more old-school Vegas prestige.

Why It Matters
One of the most recognizable hotels in the world. The Fountains of Bellagio — a choreographed water ballet across the lake — run free to the public every 30 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes after dark. The Chihuly lobby ceiling is genuinely worth stopping for. And Cirque du Soleil's O, performed in a 1.5-million-gallon aquatic theater inside the resort, has been running since the hotel opened in 1998.
The Bellagio is a 3,933-room megahotel on the Las Vegas Strip modeled on the Italian village of Bellagio at Lake Como — down to an 8.5-acre private lake out front. The lobby greets you with Dale Chihuly's 'Fiori di Como,' 2,000 hand-blown glass blossoms weighing 40,000 lbs suspended from the ceiling. Rooms dial back the drama — think neutral tones, marble bathrooms, and premium handcrafted mattresses — but the property itself never does. It's home to O by Cirque du Soleil, a 150,000-square-foot casino, a 65,000-square-foot spa, and restaurants from Wolfgang Puck, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and now Major Food Group. The resort fee is steep at $56.69/night, and the sheer scale of the place means long walks and crowds. But for the full Las Vegas fantasy, this is still the benchmark.
