Why It Matters
Entirely conceived by Raphael Navot and FAAR architects as a radical renovation of a 1930s seaside hotel — it's arguably the most design-forward hotel on the entire Riviera. Restaurant Bella under Eyal Shani has become a destination in its own right. Spa Villa Belle Plage, in a nearby 19th-century villa, claims the title of largest spa in Cannes at 1,000m².
A 1930s Cannes seafront hotel, gutted and reimagined from the ground up by designer Raphael Navot and architects FAAR, opened June 2022. The result is something genuinely different for the Riviera: curvaceous bone-white architecture with rounded balconies, organic natural materials, and soft pastel colours that echo the sea and rock of the surrounding landscape. It sits right at the foot of Le Suquet — Cannes' oldest neighbourhood — with views over the palm trees of Square Mistral straight out to the Bay of Cannes. The rooftop restaurant Bella, led by Israeli culinary star Eyal Shani, draws its own crowd of regulars. And Spa Villa Belle Plage — housed in a late 19th-century villa a short walk away — is the largest spa in Cannes.

Belle Plage Suite
The hotel's one signature suite. Halo-lit living room with pottery and hand-selected books, a bone-white bathtub, oversized terrazzo marble flooring, fully equipped kitchenette, and two separate sea-facing terraces with views framing the Estérel mountain range. Both the living room and bedroom open directly onto the Mediterranean. Apartment-style comfort at suite level.
Classic Room
A bright, elegantly furnished room designed by Raphael Navot with natural materials and pastel colours. Integrates all the codes of modernity while remaining warm and tactile. Good entry-level option for solo travellers or short stays.
Deluxe Room
The room category reviewers rave about most. Direct views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Estérel mountains. Natural, mineral atmosphere — pebble-patterned floors, striped linens, gauzy curtains that catch the light. Every detail custom-made including the modular stone desk and organic statement lighting.
Executive Room
Larger bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub plus a separate toilet. Several Executive rooms have a sofa bed for a third person or child — the best choice for small families staying in the main hotel building. Rooms 208 and 308 are adapted for guests with reduced mobility.
Penthouse
The 110m² penthouse sits at the top of the residence building. Panoramic views of the Bay of Cannes. Best suited to larger groups of friends or families looking for a self-contained luxury base on the Riviera.
