Opened in 1986 and named after a James Clavell novel. The entire ground floor was redesigned by a former film set designer, with areas modeled after specific film scenes. A film-obsessed, 4-star hotel sitting right in the middle of Malmö since 1986. The name comes from James Clavell's Hong Kong-set novel, and the interiors were designed by a former film scenographer — the reception is styled as a 1980s Miami movie set, the staircase evokes a Southern plantation, and the ground-floor taverna channels New York's film district. All 137 rooms have unique wallpapers, warm textiles, and Dux beds. Free breakfast and bikes are always included.

The entry-level option. Same personalized wallpapers and classical art as standard rooms, but priced lower because the room may be slightly smaller or positioned near the elevator — which can mean occasional hallway noise. Everything else is identical: tiled bathroom, TV, WiFi, breakfast.

Family Room (Film-Themed)
Three individually designed family rooms themed after 80s classics: Breakfast Club, Top Gun, and Pretty in Pink. Each has either a fold-down wall bunk bed or a sofa bed, plus a separate bedroom — good for two adults and two children. Designed by the hotel's in-house film scenographer. Must be booked by phone or email.
