Why It Matters
Named South America's Luxury Heritage Hotel 2025. The hotel occupies a real 17th-century convent and sits at the northwestern entrance of the walled city — arguably the best address in Cartagena. Chef Harry Sasson, one of Colombia's most celebrated culinary figures, designed the restaurant concept here. The spa was one of the first luxury hotel spas in the city when it opened in 2005.
