Crystalbrook Byron sits on 45 acres of subtropical rainforest about 10 minutes south of Byron Bay town, just a short walk across one quiet road from Tallow Beach. All 92 suites come with front and rear enclosed verandahs so the forest is always right there, and every room is a proper suite — not a hotel room — with kitchenette, washer-dryer, soaking tub and yoga mats. It's legitimately one of the greener luxury resorts in Australia, holding EarthCheck certification, sourcing over 80% of restaurant produce within a three-hour drive, and having eliminated single-use plastic throughout the property.

Ground-level suite right beside the rainforest floor — wake up to birdsong, not traffic. Close to the pool, spa and Forest restaurant. Two fully enclosed verandahs look directly into the forest. Guests can borrow bikes to explore the surrounding area — a popular option for cycling to Tallow Beach and into Byron Bay town. Part of the resort's eco-transport offering.
