Why It Matters
The founder's family literally built this town's maritime industry, and the hotel is as much a personal tribute as a business. Guests get complimentary Mystic Seaport Museum admission, room binoculars for watching eagles and passing boats, and private yacht charters booked through the Seaport. The only waterfront luxury property in Mystic.
Delamar Mystic sits right on the Mystic River, directly adjacent to the Mystic Seaport Museum. The design is a contemporary interpretation of a 19th-century sail loft — vintage nautical charts, hand-crafted shipwright woodwork, a custom chandelier made of antique glass deck prism reproductions, and a living mural bookcase depicting whaling ships. It opened in February 2025 as the newest property in the Delamar collection, founded by Charles Mallory, a direct descendant of the Mallory family whose shipbuilding empire shaped Mystic since 1816. At 31 rooms plus a private cottage, the scale stays genuinely intimate.

A private freestanding cottage on property — the most secluded option and a complete departure from the main hotel rooms. Designed for families, long-term stays, or guests who want their own front door. River views, New England seaside character, and access to all hotel amenities.
Deluxe Room
Entry-level rooms with the same floor-to-ceiling windows and Mystic River views as every other category. Maritime-inspired artwork, handcrafted furnishings, luxury linens, and marble bathroom. In-room safe, minibar, plush robes and slippers.
Diana Suite
A named suite with separate bedroom, spacious living room, and a full luxury bathroom featuring a soaking tub. Gallery photos show a refined, neutral palette with navy accents, elegant furniture, and river views.
Moonracer Suite
Named after the celebrated racing yacht, the Moonracer is a corner suite with separate bedroom and living room areas at the end of the hall. Views are exceptional — guests have spotted bald eagles from the windows over the frozen estuary in winter. Premium bedding, pillowtop beds, minibar, in-room safe.
Premier Room
The top tier of standard room categories at Delamar Mystic. Abundant natural light, premium finishes, and prime river-view positioning. Some premier rooms feature half-tubs or Juliette balconies overlooking the Mystic River.
Superior Room
A step above deluxe with upgraded positioning and finishes. All rooms share the property's signature floor-to-ceiling windows, shipwright-crafted woodwork details, and upscale bath amenities.
