Book an Atrium King room for the rare experience of a semi-outdoor balcony overlooking the glass-covered inner garden — guests rave about it

Why It Matters

The first Autograph Collection property in Hungary. Three architecturally distinct landmark buildings unified into a single hotel. Two restaurants by 3-Michelin-star chef Dani García (BiBo rooftop bar and Alelí osteria). Awarded a MICHELIN One Key in 2025. Winner of multiple World Luxury Awards 2024 including Best Luxury New Hotel in Eastern Europe. Green Key certified.

Dorothea Hotel opened in 2023 as Autograph Collection's Hungarian debut — and what a debut. Three historic buildings (Weber from 1873, Mahart from 1913, and Munnich from 1937, each with its own architectural personality: Neo-Renaissance, Art Nouveau, and Bauhaus) were stitched together by Milan's Lissoni & Partners into 216 rooms and a glass-covered inner courtyard that's now home to Pavilon Restaurant. The name honors Archduchess Dorothea, the 19th-century figure who championed the Chain Bridge, the urbanization of Pest, and women's right to work. That history is embedded everywhere — from 5,000 custom Zsolnay ceramic tiles lining the heritage staircase to 499 photos by Hungarian photographer Zoltán Tombor hanging throughout the property.
