Why It Matters
One of the only design-forward boutique hotels in the Lake Placid area. Part of the Tablet Hotels collection. Family-owned, with co-founders actively involved in day-to-day hospitality. Frette Italian sheets in rooms, a sommelier-curated bar, and a private gathering room in a converted blacksmith shop.
A renovated historic motor lodge turned Scandinavian-modern boutique retreat on the banks of the Chubb River, just a short walk from downtown Lake Placid. Opened August 2022 by the founders of the original Eastwind Windham, the property brings the same dark blue clapboard aesthetic, hygge-forward interiors, and founder-level hospitality to the Adirondacks. Twenty-nine rooms and eight freestanding Lushna cabins spread across several buildings — some Victorian, some mid-century motor-lodge bones — all loaded with curated vintage furniture, wood stoves, and reading nooks.

The most compact option on the property — and one of the most charming. These freestanding Scandinavian-style cabins are a year-round glamping concept: no sacrificing comfort, but deliberately simple. Think king bed, a private bathroom, a mini-fridge, electric kettle, and poured coffee and tea kits. An outdoor deck extends the space. Pet-friendly at $50/pet/night.
1 KingLushna Suite
The signature cabin with Chubb River views. More generous than the Petite, this unit adds a loft bed, a writer's nook, a sofa, and a private deck. Still very much a cabin aesthetic — but with considerably more room to stretch out.

The most compact room type on the property. Cozy, well-designed, and carries the full Eastwind aesthetic at the entry price point. Pet-friendly.
