EOLO is a 17-room Relais & Châteaux lodge set on a private 10,000-acre estancia halfway between the town of El Calafate and Los Glaciares National Park. The hotel was designed by architect Fernando Bustillo — grandson of the legendary Alejandro Bustillo behind Llao Llao in Bariloche — and takes serious design cues from the historic estancias of southern Argentina: simple creole lines, antique furniture, pastel tones, and large windows that deliberately put the Patagonian steppe front and center. No TVs. No excess. Every room faces the landscape.

Corner Room
The top category, and only two exist in the entire hotel. A double window wrapping the corner of the room means the Patagonian landscape essentially becomes part of the space. The most immersive way to experience EOLO's surroundings from bed.
Premium Room
Three rooms, each decorated differently. In addition to the outward-facing window looking toward the landscape, these rooms add a second window opening onto the hotel's central garden — so you get two views instead of one. All three allow triple occupancy with an extra bed.
Superior Room
The backbone of the property — 12 rooms, each decorated differently with antique furniture, pastel tones, and the feel of a southern Argentine estancia. Cozy couches sit in front of large windows framing lake, steppe, or cordillera views. No TV, intentionally.

Guided treks across the Patagonian steppe and surrounding hills led by the hotel's in-house guide. The 'Valley of the Fossil' trek is a guest favorite — a 5-hour route highly recommended by the concierge team. Included in the room rate.
Guided rides across the 10,000-acre estancia, including routes to the Flamingos' Lagoon. No prior experience required — the rides are designed for beginners, though experienced riders can go at their own pace. Included in the room rate.

50-minute drive from EOLO to Los Glaciares National Park. Options include walkways and viewpoints along the glacier's front wall, a short boat cruise, or trekking on the ice with crampons (short or long duration). Additional cost applies.
30-minute drive to Puerto Punta Bandera, then boat navigation through Lago Argentino's icebergs. Options include boat cruises, traditional estancia visits, 4WD rides, kayaking, or trekking. The Upsala is the largest glacier feeding Lago Argentino; the Spegazzini is the most dramatic. Additional cost applies.

A cozy library with comfortable seating, overlooking Torres del Paine. On clear days, the famous towers are visible from the property.
A communal TV room for guests (rooms themselves have no televisions by design).
