EOLO - Patagonia's Spirit
Sophisticated Patagonian estancia. Candlelit dinners, antique furniture, and floor-to-ceiling windows that make the landscape the main event. All-inclusive, intimate, and intentionally remote.
The hotel recommends a minimum of 4 nights to see the main glacier attractions and still have time to decompress on property
Why It Matters
One of only two Michelin Key-awarded properties in Argentine Patagonia. A Relais & Châteaux member ranked #2 of 78 hotels in El Calafate on TripAdvisor. The architect lineage alone is remarkable — Fernando Bustillo is the grandson of Alejandro Bustillo, who designed the iconic Llao Llao Hotel. All meals, wines, drinks, airport transfers, and on-property guided activities are included in the rate.
EOLO is a 17-room Relais & Châteaux lodge set on a private 10,000-acre estancia halfway between the town of El Calafate and Los Glaciares National Park. The hotel was designed by architect Fernando Bustillo — grandson of the legendary Alejandro Bustillo behind Llao Llao in Bariloche — and takes serious design cues from the historic estancias of southern Argentina: simple creole lines, antique furniture, pastel tones, and large windows that deliberately put the Patagonian steppe front and center. No TVs. No excess. Every room faces the landscape.
