Finca Adalgisa
Lived-in family finca energy — antique furniture, local tapestries, no TVs, cats napping in the garden, a resident greyhound named Felipe. Rustic but genuinely comfortable. Feels more like a wealthy friend's country house than a hotel.
Book the suite with a private terrace — watching the Andean sunset from your own terrace with a glass of estate Malbec is hard to beat.
Why It Matters
Mendoza's first boutique wine hotel and working winery, in operation since 2002. The estate's Malbec vines were planted in 1916 — only about 5,000 bottles are made annually and served exclusively to guests. Michelin Guide listed. Five generations of the Furlotti family have worked this land.
A century-old family vineyard estate in Chacras de Coria that the Furlotti-Moretti family converted into Mendoza's first boutique wine hotel in 2002. This is not a wine-themed hotel — actual Malbec is made here, in small quantities, from vines planted in 1916. Thirteen rooms spread across three historic buildings, nearly five acres of gardens, a winery lounge open every evening, and a legendary asado on communal tables overlooking the vines. It runs at its own pace, and that is the whole point.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Wood-fired communal dinner with skirt steak, flank steak, chorizos, morcillas, and fire-roasted vegetables. Served outdoors overlooking the vineyard. Monday, Wednesday, Friday evenings at 8pm — reservation required.
Taste estate Malbec and Familia Furlotti wines — Malbec, Pinot Noir, Semillón, rosé, and field blends — daily from 6pm in the vineyard-view lounge. Informal, no lecture required.
Hands-on Argentine fire cooking with Chef Cristina Brino: handmade empanadas, chimichurri, and ribeye over wood fire, followed by a shared dinner. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday at 7pm — reservation required.
During harvest season, guests can participate in the grape harvest on the estate's own vineyard. A rare hands-on insight into small-batch winemaking.
A structured wine aroma and tasting course led by an international wine judge. Offered on an informal, by-request basis.
Bikes are available to borrow from the hotel. Chacras de Coria's wine route makes for excellent flat cycling through vineyards and olive groves.
The concierge can arrange day-long horseback riding tours in the Andes through local operators such as La Quebrada del Cóndor. Off-site activity.
Walk among the century-old Malbec vines (planted 1916) on the estate. Observe the winemaking process and harvest activity in season. Self-guided and unhurried.
