Why It Matters
Each apartment has its own name, doorbell, and mailbox — a deliberate device that makes anonymity possible and the 'home' feeling real. The building's industrial history (a radiator workshop occupied the rear until the 1950s; the faded lettering is still on the wall) is written into the design rather than erased. Tablet Hotels curated the property, and Booking.com guests rate location at 9.7/10.
Gorki Apartments is a 34-apartment + 2-penthouse boutique property in a restored early-20th-century Gründerzeit building in Berlin Mitte, 50 metres from Rosenthaler Platz U-Bahn. Opened in November 2013 after five years of restoration, it was designed by French-German architect Sandra Pauquet as an exercise in unconventional luxury — exposed brickwork, original stucco, Bang & Olufsen audio in every room, and apartments named after fictional Berlin residents (your key reads 'Lea Grün' or 'Herr Günther'). No restaurant, no pool, no spa — but daily cleaning, free bikes, 24-hour reception, and a very clever Mustache Gang membership programme.

The flagship category. High ceilings, ornate stucco, selected vintage furniture, and a glamorous bathroom tiled in sapphire blue. Two separate rooms with a kitchen/dining area; French windows open onto a small balcony overlooking the tree-lined Weinbergsweg. Can sleep up to three with an extra bed (€30/night). Big, bright, and genuinely beautiful.

Gorki partners with EVO Fitness at Rosenthaler Platz. Guests can obtain a day pass for €10 via Gorki reception. Modern equipment, a short walk from the property.
A Peloton bike can be set up in your apartment on request for a small daily fee. Yoga mats are already provided in every room at no charge.
All apartments and penthouses are available for photo shoots, film productions, and private events upon request and with advance notice. The distinctive interiors make them popular with creative teams.
Send the Gorki team a shopping list before your arrival and they will stock your apartment fridge. Good for late arrivals or longer stays.
