Why It Matters
The Amour brand has genuine cult status in Paris — Nice is its first move outside the capital. The combination of a rooftop pink pool with panoramic views, a serious on-site Greek kitchen sourcing produce from Kalamata, and rooms that feel more like a well-decorated Parisian apartment than a hotel set it apart on a coast that defaults to formal grandeur.
Part of the Amour Hotels group — the same cult brand behind two adored addresses in Paris — this 38-room boutique arrived on Nice's Avenue des Fleurs with a very clear point of view: no televisions, no telephones, no luxury-hotel posturing. Corridors in pastel pink and teal, pink marble bathrooms with Italian taps, and antique furniture hunted down from flea markets and auction houses. The rooftop on the 7th floor has a pool with a genuine 360° sweep of Nice's rooftops, the sea, and the mountains.
