Why It Matters
One of Helsinki's most design-forward new openings, awarded a Green Key sustainability certificate, Nordic Swan Ecolabel, and Oiva certification. The only Hobo Hotel in Finland, following the successful Stockholm original. Architect: Studio Aisslinger.
Hobo Helsinki opened in 2024 inside a converted building on Kluuvikatu — five minutes on foot from the Central Railway Station, a block from Esplanadi Park. Berlin studio Studio Aisslinger designed the 183-room, 8-floor property around exposed brick peg-walls, terrazzo floors, and bold textiles. The ground floor bar and restaurant doubles as a live music and events venue, and the whole hotel is built around a community-first philosophy: rotating art, weekly DJ nights, Yatzy Tuesdays, morning running clubs, and an on-site co-working space.

How you'll actually spend your days.
The 2nd floor Playground co-working space is open to guests and the public when no private events are running. Free coffee in the lobby. A genuine workspace, not just a lounge.
The bar stage hosts regular live gigs and DJ sets. Past performers span Finnish alternative rap, folk, Italo disco, and vinyl nights. Check the events calendar for upcoming shows.
Organised screenings of major sporting events — Roland Garros Men's Final, Wimbledon Men's Singles Final — with the Grands community.
Regular morning runs organized in partnership with local running community. Followed by breakfast buffet and hydration. Runs until end of June.
Hobo Helsinki is the official Pride House for Helsinki Pride 2026 from June 22–28. Free events and a Pride Shop running all week. Hotel is home base for Pride Week.
Outdoor terrace opens in summer with live music gigs, BBQ menus, and evening events. Past events have included outdoor concerts and DJ sets with local collaborators.
Weekly Tuesday night dice game at the bar starting 19:00 sharp. A recurring Hobo staple — grab a drink, grab a spot early. Has been running since opening and occasionally themed (e.g., Drag Yatzy for Helsinki Pride).
