Why It Matters
Europe's only self-described 'artistic urban resort.' Designed by Bruce Graham of SOM for the 1992 Olympics, it houses the two-Michelin-starred Enoteca Paco Pérez and its spa formerly occupied the 42nd and 43rd floors. At 154m, it was briefly joint-tallest building in Barcelona alongside Torre Mapfre before Sagrada Família's spire overtook both.
A 44-floor steel-and-glass tower right on Barcelona's Olympic Marina, Hotel Arts is the rare hotel that genuinely works as both a beach resort and a serious city hotel. Designed by Bruce Graham of SOM and built for the 1992 Olympics, it looms over Frank Gehry's golden 'El Peix' fish sculpture and the Mediterranean beyond. The rooms are actually spacious, the two Michelin-starred Enoteca Paco Pérez is the real deal, and the infinity pool facing the sea delivers exactly what it promises. But fair warning: it's a big, managed-hotel operation — Ritz-Carlton standards through and through — and a major renovation is underway through 2026 affecting pools and common areas.

Arts Suite
One of two signature suites on the upper floors. Private sauna, dining area, and full living room. The living room features a curved sofa and marine-inspired chandelier. Multiple sea-facing windows across a generous floor plan. Return airport transfers, private cocktail station, and sleep kit included.
Bi-Level Loft Penthouse Suite
One of 28 duplex penthouses on the top floors of the tower. Butler service included, along with use of a MINI Cooper Cabrio for city exploration. Private gym facilities and large terrace. Royal and Presidential versions expand further with skyline views in all directions. These are the hotel's most exclusive accommodations and the ones Lakshmi Mittal famously commandeered en masse for a family wedding in 2014.
Club Suite
Includes full Club Lounge access (33rd floor), bespoke concierge service, and five food and beverage presentations daily. Bedroom plus living room layout. Club access is only available via booked Club rooms — Marriott Bonvoy Elite Status does not grant complimentary entry.
Horizon Sea View Suite
Mid-tower corner suite fully oriented toward the Mediterranean. Over 80 sqm with dual-aspect windows flooding the space with natural light. Same open-plan layout as the Skyline — separate living area, bespoke drinks bar, dedicated wellness corner — but the views are pure sea. Earthy Catalan mountain tones, sustainably sourced materials, and custom furnishings throughout.

The entry-level room at Hotel Arts, available in King or Twin configuration. Feels anything but standard — all rooms start at 45 sqm with floor-to-ceiling windows. The 'Landscape' designation means views of the city in a less elevated position, but the redesigned interiors (completed June 2025) are genuinely impressive: handcrafted Lorena Canals headboards, Mediterranean color palettes, marble bathrooms with separate soaking tub and shower.

Available in King or Twin. The step up to 'Panorama' gets you a noticeably better view — sweeping Barcelona skyline shots through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Still the same generously proportioned layout starting at 45 sqm with fully redesigned interiors.
45 sqmPanorama Sea View Room
Available in King or Twin. The Mediterranean fills the windows here. Rooms on the higher floors in the Panorama Sea category give you an unobstructed read on the harbor, El Peix sculpture, and open sea — particularly good from floors 30 and above. Same fresh 2025 renovation as the rest.

A step up from Landscape with slightly more elevated or angled views. Available in King or Twin. Same 45 sqm-plus format, same freshly renovated interiors — the difference is mainly in the vantage point. Some Scenic rooms face toward Montjuïc, giving a different city perspective from the pure seafront rooms.

Positioned on the hotel's highest guest-room floors, the Seascape category delivers the best non-suite sea views in the standard room tier. Kings only. The floor position means uninterrupted Mediterranean sightlines with less urban interference. Same 45 sqm+ layout, same 2025 renovation.

Corner position mid-tower with sweeping Barcelona city views. At 80 sqm, the layout opens into a proper living room, separate master bedroom, and a custom drinks bar stocked with cocktail-making tools. Two sliding walls give the ensuite bathroom flexible privacy between the bedroom and dressing area. Natural earthy tones throughout, integrated sound system, wellness corner, and bedside room controls.
