A 70-room boutique hotel that opened in 2015 on a pedestrianised street in Santiago's Lastarria neighborhood, built on the footprint of a former emporium. Local architect Rodrigo Errázuriz designed the boldly modern building while interior duo Enrique Concha and Andrés Martínez gave the rooms a strong Chilean identity — think custom wooden headboards carved with motifs borrowed from nearby museum artworks. The rooftop infinity pool has some of the better city views you'll find without paying Andes-lodge prices.

At 53m² with a separate living room and a private balcony, the Junior Suite is a substantial upgrade. The balcony is the big draw — views over the Lastarria rooftops toward the Andes on clear days. The entry-level room and still a decent size for a city boutique. At 22m² with a king bed, it fits couples without feeling cramped.
