Hotel Miramalfi
Mid-century Italian design meets contemporary polish. Whites, blues, pinks, and turquoise pull from the Mediterranean seascape. Not fussy, not overdone — there's a warmth here that comes from genuinely family-run hospitality.
Always book a balcony room facing the sea — it's the entire point of the hotel
Why It Matters
One of the few properties on this stretch of the Amalfi Coast with a private Beach Club carved directly into the cliff face, a saltwater pool hovering above the sea, and 2025 Michelin Key recognition. Still family-run after nearly 70 years. Member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts.
Hotel Miramalfi has been on the cliffs outside Amalfi since 1956, when Francesco Mansi returned from Mexico and built his dream property — the name literally means 'look at Amalfi' in Spanish. Three generations of the Mansi family later, it's earned a Michelin Key (2025) and an SLH Award finalist nod, and the mid-century bones of the place still show in checkered Vietri tile floors, a clean white palette, and striped chairs on every sea-facing balcony. Thirty-six rooms plus 14 suites, a cliff-carved saltwater pool, two restaurants, and a Beach Club that would make Sophia Loren reach for her sunglasses.
