Why It Matters
One of the only hotels actually within Dubrovnik's city walls, and the most prestigious. Built as a palace for the aristocratic Pucić family in the 17th century, it became the city's first hotel in 1859. Restored in 2002 following UNESCO guidelines using traditional construction materials. The Michelin Guide calls it the top hotel within the old town walls.

Classic Room
The entry-level room but don't let that put you off. These are styled with antique furnishings, original wooden structural beams in the ceiling, and skylight windows that throw dramatic light into the space. At around 25 m2 they are compact — especially for the price — and some upper-floor versions have only small windows. Named after famous Dubrovnik citizens like composer Luka Sorkočević or physician Đuro Baglivi.

Corner Deluxe Room
The upgrade from the standard Deluxe. Corner position with three windows gives you views of both Gundulić Square and the cobbled streets of Old Town simultaneously. More space than the standard Deluxe, still dressed in antiques and the palace's characteristic elegance.
Deluxe Room
Faces Gundulić Square, giving you views of the morning market, the cathedral dome, and the historic buildings of Old Town. Full of natural light. Antique furnishings and modern amenities in the same blend as the Classic, but with the bonus of looking directly out onto the city's central square.
Deluxe Suite
The top-floor flagship. Two-level living area gives it real architectural drama — you're essentially in the palace's attic, with the original structure around you. The bathroom has a large hydro-massage bathtub. At 55 m2 it's the most spacious option in the hotel. Named after baroque playwright Junije Palmotić.

Two fully separate bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom — genuinely usable for families or two couples. Master bedroom has a king, the second room a double. At 55 m2 with that split layout, it's one of the better family options in the Old Town. Traditional design with modern fittings.
