Hotel Rum is a 40-room boutique hotel in a 19th-century apartment building in Budapest's Inner City (District V), on the Pest side of the river. The design — handled entirely by local Budapest architects — blends post-industrial edges with ornate antique building bones, and the result feels genuinely playful rather than try-hard. Prices stay accessible enough that this is a crowd that actually goes out and explores the city, which is exactly the point.
