Hotel Singulier Bordeaux
Art deco meets contemporary romance: natural materials, lush greens, soft filtered light, antique mirrors and bold velvet. Intimate and quiet with a strong emphasis on personal service.
Ask for a room facing the vertical garden courtyard — at dusk, it illuminates beautifully and four rooms have direct views
Why It Matters
One of very few hotels in all of Bordeaux with a south-facing rooftop terrace offering a 180° panoramic view of the UNESCO World Heritage city. Exclusive partnership with Anne Semonin skincare — a brand otherwise found only in top international palaces. Personalised pre-arrival concierge call from Audrey, the property's own hospitality manager, who arranges winery visits, boat tours of Arcachon, and restaurant bookings in advance.
A late 18th-century building in the Triangle d'Or district — just west of Place Gambetta — Hôtel Singulier is a genuinely intimate luxury address with 7 rooms and a private apartment wrapped around a nearly 12-metre-high vertical garden. Owners Julie and François-Xavier designed every room themselves, mixing classic crown mouldings and parquet floors with velvet headboards, bronze mirrors, and bespoke furniture. There's no lobby crowd, no corporate feel — it runs closer to staying at a very stylish friend's house than a hotel.
