Built in 1961 on a cliff above the Adriatic in Dubrovnik's Sveti Jakov area, Villa Dubrovnik shut its doors in October 2023 for a full multi-million Euro overhaul and came back in 2025 as a genuinely reimagined property. Brazilian firm Studio Arthur Casas stripped it back and rebuilt the interiors around Croatian stone, polished wood, and hand-glazed terracotta — then loaded every room with pieces by Gio Ponti, Paula Lenti, Patricia Urquiola, and Eileen Gray. The result is a 56-room cliffside hotel that feels like a serious design museum with a private beach attached.

Villa Kolin Residence
The top-of-the-house option. Three bedrooms, a living room on the top floor, a kitchenette, and a garden terrace with a whirlpool. Private entrance through a small pine forest and a private pool. Before becoming part of the hotel, this was home to the Kolin family, prominent Dubrovnik merchants. Bedrooms don't face the sea directly, but the living room has a partial Adriatic and Old Town view. Each of the three bedrooms has its own bathroom, plus a guest bathroom near the living room.
