Insider Tip
1/5

The restaurant's Atelier La Carte menu is only available Thursday, Sunday, and Monday — if you want to order freely rather than do the set Sanssouci Menu, plan around those nights.

Why It Matters

One of the finest historic wine estates in the Saxon Elbe Valley, with a Michelin-starred restaurant (1 star, 2 red toques Gault Millau, 7 pans Gusto) housed in the original 18th-century banquet hall. The property is under the highest level of German monument protection and features original murals, sandstone floors, and a belvedere tower that were preserved through two major restorations.

An 18th-century manor house and former winery in Radebeul — a quiet wine-growing suburb about 9 km from Dresden's old town. The building survived both world wars intact, holds the highest level of heritage protection in Germany, and was last extensively restored in 2016. Fourteen rooms plus two suites across the main manor and a separate winery annex; no two are alike. The real draw is the on-site Restaurant Atelier Sanssouci, which holds 1 Michelin star and sits in the original ballroom and garden hall of the villa.
