Hyde Johannesburg Rosebank occupies a striking matte black building in Rosebank's pedestrianised art deco precinct — six floors of bohemian-luxe hotel sitting on top of a mixed-use complex that includes the Workshop17 co-working space. It's Hyde's first property in Africa, and they've leaned hard into the local context: the lobby is filled with art by Johannesburg women artists, the 'Endless Sofa' faces a six-metre screen adorned with over 1,200 handcrafted ceramic beads, and rooms are decked out with pieces from up-and-coming local talent. Proudly music-forward, the property regularly hosts DJ sets and live gigs that turn the public spaces into something closer to a festival venue than a hotel lobby.

The double-bed variant of the Platinum tier, with the same elevated design and spaciousness. An option for couples who prefer a double over a king.

A step up again in space and finish. Floor-to-ceiling windows with sheer curtains, a burnt orange leather armchair alongside a beige sofa, and colourful fibre art on the walls. The living area starts to feel genuinely suite-like.

The sweet spot for most guests. Step up from General Admission gets you more space — room enough for a king bed, a dedicated desk, a makeup station, and two sofa chairs. Reviewers consistently call it 'serene and roomy'. Prices start around ZAR 4,500 per night.
