A 22-room boutique inn set inside a beautifully restored 1903 Georgian Revival building — the former bachelor officers' quarters of the U.S. Army's Presidio post. Sitting within San Francisco's 1,491-acre Presidio National Park, it overlooks San Francisco Bay and sits just minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge. The building underwent an environmentally sensitive restoration in 2012, earning LEED Gold certification, and received a design refresh in 2024 that layers plush carpets, military brass accents, and a curated local art program over its historic bones.

Classic King Suite
The most popular room type in the main building. Two rooms at 530 sq ft: a bedroom with king bed and a separate sitting room with gas fireplace and queen pull-out sofa. Available across all three floors, including a first-floor ADA-accessible option (Room 122). Gas fireplace in the sitting room is a big draw in SF's cool evenings.
King
Classic Queen Suite
A two-room suite on the 3rd floor running 530 sq ft. Separate bedroom with queen bed and sitting room with queen pull-out sofa — useful for a third guest. The sitting room has a gas fireplace and large operable windows that let in fresh air. Bathroom includes both shower and tub.

Funston King
One of four rooms in the separate Funston House, 30 yards from the main inn and tucked into the Presidio forest. Feels more like a private home than a hotel room — original art on the walls, cozy atmosphere, shared access to the Funston House's living and dining rooms. Same amenities as the main building: Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, Nespresso.

The flagship room in the Funston House. Two rooms at 530 sq ft: a ground-floor king bedroom plus a separate sitting room with queen pull-out sofa and gas fireplace. ADA-accessible option available (Room 141). The combination of a private suite layout with the intimate, wooded Funston House setting makes this the most secluded option on the property.
KingFunston Queen
Queen-bedded room in the historic Funston House. Same intimate, residential feel as the Funston King — forest views, original art, access to shared living and dining rooms. Good option for solo travelers or couples who want a quieter, more private setting than the main building.
QueenStandard King
A step up in size at 380 sq ft, located on the 2nd or 3rd floor of Pershing Hall with Presidio views. King bed, large windows that open, private bathroom with shower and tub. No fireplace — this is one of the few room types without one.
KingStandard Queen
The entry-level room at the inn, located on the 2nd floor of Pershing Hall. At 290 sq ft it's the smallest option here, but the large operable windows open onto views of the Presidio forest, Golden Gate Bridge, or San Francisco Bay depending on which room you get. Private bathroom has a shower (no tub), plush robes, EO bath amenities. No fireplace.

Two 425 sq ft conference rooms in the main building, each accommodating up to 20 guests. Funston House also available for small group retreats.
