The InterContinental Perth City Centre inherited its modernist structure — with distinctive square windows — from an earlier hotel (originally the Rydges), but has leaned hard into making it one of Perth's most design-forward stays. Architecture firm Woods Bagot redesigned the 16-floor building, with interiors by Chada, and the result is a hotel filled with 300+ pieces of handcrafted art commissioned from 13 Western Australian artists. Strong on dining, genuinely interesting to look at, and right in the middle of Perth's CBD on the corner of Hay and King Streets.
