Why It Matters
The only luxury hotel directly connected to Rogers Place — Edmonton's premier NHL arena and concert venue. The JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District opened in August 2019 as the luxury centrepiece of Canada's largest mixed-use sports and entertainment district. It occupies the lower 22 floors of a 55-storey tower that also houses the Legends Private Residences above — and it's connected directly to Rogers Place arena, so you can walk to an Oilers game without touching the cold. The design leans into Alberta's natural landscape: think marble bathrooms, custom artwork, and furnishings inspired by the Canadian wilderness, not the rink.

KingQueen/Queen Bed Guestroom
The hotel has 111 two-queen rooms, making it well-suited for families or two guests who prefer their own beds. Same marble bathrooms and Alberta-inspired design as the king rooms, but with a more family-practical layout.
