The Kimpton Schofield occupies a restored 1902 landmark building at the corner of East 9th and Euclid in downtown Cleveland — red brick facade intact, Victorian-era bones lovingly preserved. Inside, things get more irreverent: ottomans sewn from recycled saris, a lobby stocked with Harvey Pekar's American Splendor comics, and light-box desk lamps that let you spell out whatever message you're feeling.
