Klaus K is a 171-room boutique design hotel in a landmark 1887 building on Bulevardi, right where Helsinki's Design District meets the top of the Esplanade. The rooms draw on the Kalevala — Finland's national epic — for their design language, which means you check in under sculptural artwork at an egg-shaped reception desk and sleep in spaces themed around mysticism, passion, desire, and envy. It's also Helsinki's first design hotel and a proud member of the Design Hotels™ portfolio, last renovated in 2023.

A suite-level art room designed by Finnish artist Katja Tukiainen. Combines the comfort of a Klaus K suite with original commissioned artwork throughout the space.

A step up from Mini with slightly more space, a double bed, minibar, smart TV, and all the standard Klaus K amenities. Hardwood floors, soundproof windows, blackout curtains. Good baseline room for a short city break.

28–37m² depending on the configuration. King-size 180cm bed, sofa, desk, and bathrobe in the wardrobe. Higher floors get air conditioning and climate control. Some Deluxe rooms have a raised sleeping platform with a glass railing — a bit dramatic in the best possible way. Connect two adjoining rooms for families or friends.

The smallest option on the menu — honest about it and priced accordingly. Mini rooms run 13–18m², with a 120cm single bed and just enough space to get a good night's sleep and a solid breakfast. TV with Chromecast, kettle, in-room safe, and a Stockholm Steamery clothes steamer for looking sharp. If you need a desk, use the hotel's lounge area.

Sky Studio
Entry-level Sky room on the 7th floor. Steps from the rooftop Sky Terrace during summer. Elevated position above the city with all the Sky-level perks: Unikulma mattress, Cupsolo coffee maker, bathrobe, slippers, and rain shower.
Sky Suite
Three different Sky Suites, each distinctly weird in the best sense. Choose from: soaring 4.5m ceilings with an extra-large bathroom; a suite with its own balcony; or the one with the Kalevala-inspired egg-shaped bed. All have an extra-large lounge area, separate shower and bathtub, espresso machine, multinational power outlets, safe with power outlet, extra-large rain shower, LED flat TV, bathrobe and slippers. Can't pre-select via the internet — call to request your preferred configuration.
