One of the very few city hotels in Europe where over 100 rooms have a private sauna — a genuine Finnish wellness ritual, not a gimmick. Michelin Guide listed. Restaurant Kultá Kitchen & Bar has won awards for both its northern tasting menu and its breakfast. The hotel opened in 2019 following a full renovation of a historic office block.
A converted office building on Helsinki's historic Bulevardi, Lapland Hotels Bulevardi transplants the deep north into the city centre of Punavuori. Reindeer antlers hang on the walls, Anu Pentik ceramics sit on the tables, and wool throws drape the beds. But the real hook is the saunas: more than 100 of the 198 rooms have a private sauna built in, a genuinely rare thing in a European urban hotel. The breakfast is award-winning and legitimately excellent. The most talked-about room category here. At 37 sqm, it adds a large soaking bathtub on top of the private sauna — reviewers consistently describe the bathroom as a 'mini spa'. Rain shower, separate sauna, huge tub, city views, minibar, coffee machine. Frequently described as having the best price-to-quality ratio in the hotel. Rooms 801 and similar have great positioning on the 8th floor.
