Why It Matters
One of the very few true design hotels in Bordeaux, housed in a mansion where Baron Haussmann once socialised and Victor Hugo visited. The building is genuinely historic, yet the interiors feel current. The wine bar in the courtyard is one of the best spots in the city for a glass of Bordeaux with a knowledgeable sommelier.
An 18th-century mansion in the heart of Bordeaux that has been turned into a 5-star design hotel without losing any of its character. The stone vestibule, original parquet floors and paved courtyard all survive intact — but the rooms got a thorough makeover: Philippe Starck chairs, Kartell pieces, Eichholtz lights, and deep soaking tubs next to your bed. The wine theme runs through everything, from room names (all borrowed from Bordeaux châteaux) to the grape varieties planted in the courtyard.

Deluxe
A step up in space and personality. At 25 sqm on average, most Deluxe rooms look onto the garden. Each one has a distinct character — same soft natural palette but with individually designed furniture and artwork. Some have a real sofa bed, convertible for an extra guest at €45/night.

Same 25 sqm footprint as the Deluxe, but these rooms come with a private terrace and either an indoor or outdoor bathtub — or a Jacuzzi. Good option if you want outdoor space without paying suite prices.

Elegance
The entry-level room, and at 20 sqm it is compact — but not cramped. White decor and soft colours give a soothing feel. Bathrooms are finished in Pyrenean slate, with either a closed shower or one that opens dramatically into the room. Views are over the inner courtyard or the Bordeaux streetscape.

At 100 sqm, the Executive Suite is a serious space. Two bedrooms, two full bathrooms (bathtub and shower in each), a spacious living room, and a dining area. The suite can be divided into two independent bedrooms — useful for families or business travel. A heated jacuzzi on the private terrace looks out over the Bordeaux rooftops.

Named after the Bordeaux estate, this apartment sits on the 3rd floor above the tree-lined patio. At 65 sqm, it has two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, and a dining area. Good for families or longer stays — it feels more like a private apartment than a hotel room. Views look out over the Bordeaux rooftops.

Presidential Suite
The biggest in the house at 175 sqm, spread over two levels with two private terraces on the top floor. Panoramic views over the Bordeaux skyline. Three adult bedrooms, a children's room, a kitchen, dining room, and four bathrooms with three bathtubs, three showers, and a terrace jacuzzi. Sleeps up to 6. Dedicated butler throughout the stay.

Intimate, personalized tasting sessions led by the hotel sommelier. Discover 5 wines from the Bordeaux region and surrounding terroir. Maximum 10 guests per session, keeping it genuinely personal. Run Wednesday through Sunday from 5pm. Book by calling the front desk or via the hotel contact form.
Homemade brunch buffet every Sunday from 11:30am to 2:30pm. Open to hotel guests and the public. Book via TheFork.
Hotel staff can arrange wine estate visits in the Médoc and surrounding appellations. Not operated by the hotel directly, but concierge can make introductions and bookings.
