Why It Matters

A 4-star resort in a 1930s building perched above Lake Annecy, Les Trésoms has 52 rooms split between forest and lake views. The art deco bones of the place are still very much intact — warm woodwork, antique mirrors, Art Nouveau portraits on the walls. Come for the Michelin-starred La Rotonde restaurant and the MontSpa with its lake-facing balneotherapy pool. The old town is a 15-minute walk downhill.
