Lionsback Resort is Moab's most ambitious luxury development — a growing collection of standalone casitas parked on 175 high-desert acres, right at the entrance to the 9,000-acre Sand Flats Recreation Area. The Slickrock Trail is practically at your back door. Phase 1 is open now with rentable Strata and Mesa casitas; the full hotel with restaurant, spa, and convention center is still proposed and subject to approvals. What you get today is a whole private home — not a hotel room — with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, freestanding soaking tubs, outdoor hot tubs, and 360-degree views of the La Sal Mountains and Moab Rim. Downtown Moab is less than two miles away.

In partnership with Moab Adventure Center, the resort's concierge team can plan custom multi-day adventure itineraries. Includes river rafting, kayaking on the Colorado River, rock climbing, skydiving, aerial tours, guided 4x4 tours, photography tours, and more.
Direct on-property access to the Hells Revenge 4x4 trail — one of Moab's most celebrated off-road routes across slickrock terrain. No need to drive to a trailhead.
Direct on-site access to the Mill Creek Trail. On-property trail system also allows guests to roam and bike through the resort's 175 acres. Hiking trails in the broader Moab area range from 0.6 to 109 miles and 3,946 ft to 12,322 ft elevation.
The property sits 0.7 miles from Sand Flats Recreation Area, home to the world-famous Slickrock Bike Trail. Direct trailhead access without driving. Over 579 miles and 230+ trails in the Moab area ranging from beginner to expert.
The pool complex includes a 2,100 sq ft year-round pool, shared hot tub, cold plunge, yoga platform, community firepit, s'mores gathering area, and resort cabanas, all set against views of the La Sal Mountains and the iconic Lionsback rock formation. The 6,000+ sq ft pool deck makes it a proper gathering space. Available to all resort guests.
Dark Sky compliant lighting throughout the property — both to protect Moab's night sky designation and to give guests prime conditions for stargazing from their private patio or hot tub. Moab is one of the best stargazing destinations in the country.
