Malmaison Birmingham sits inside The Mailbox, a converted Victorian sorting office right on the canal in the city centre. The whole place leans into that postal history — four of the suites are literally named The Sorting Office, The Post Box, Mailroom, and Spaghetti Junction. It's got 193 rooms, a proper brasserie with Josper and Konro grills, a spa with jacuzzi and TEMPLESPA treatments, and that signature Malmaison attitude: moody lighting, bold interiors, no apologies.

Bigger than the Club Room, with a king bed and a proper chill-out area to unwind in. En-suite has separate shower and bath — a meaningful upgrade if you like a long soak.
KingClub Room
A step up from Standard with a king bed, the classic Eames lounge chair, 40-inch flatscreen with Sky Sports, a coffee machine, and bathrobes and slippers. En-suite has shower over bath (some rooms shower only).

Havana Signature Suite
The gentleman's club to Nirvana's punk den. Dark wood panelling, a leather drawing room with a globe bar, a giant plush sleigh bed behind a panelled door, a writing desk, and rotary-dial telephones. Located on the 7th floor with city views. Monsoon shower and a bath. It's theatrical in the best possible way.
Super KingJunior Suite
Super-king bed with a separate lounge area and an en-suite that has both a standalone shower and a bath. Noticeably more space than the Club rooms, and the lounge area makes it work for a longer stay.

The punk suite. A giant super-king bed, a full-wall portrait of Sid & Nancy, an Ozzy Osbourne quote on the ceiling light, and a show-stopping mirrored jacuzzi with a disco ball. Bold, noisy, and entirely deliberate — this one is genuinely unlike anything else in Birmingham.

Standard Double
Entry-level room with a king or super-king bed, en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. Gets the full Malmaison treatment: moody lighting, premium bedding, flatscreen TV, minibar, tea and coffee. Not huge, but everything works.
