Why It Matters
Designed entirely by a single Slovak architect — Zuzana Cambelová — and carried through with unusual consistency. Every room is different, but all share the same interiors DNA. Marrol's occupies a fully renovated five-story building a few streets from Bratislava's Old Town, with 51 rooms and 3 suites designed by Slovak interior architect Zuzana Cambelová. The aesthetic is all 1920s and 1930s: leather club chairs, patterned rugs, wood furniture, French windows, and black-and-white mosaic bathroom floors. It's one of Bratislava's best-regarded boutique addresses — consistently ranked in the top five hotels in the city on TripAdvisor — and earns its 5-star rating more through character and service than flashy amenities.

Classic Room
Entry-level category with the same retro 1920s–30s design DNA as the rest of the hotel. Rooms come with French windows looking out to city streets or garden patios. Some guests note these can run on the smaller side. All include complimentary minibar, L'Occitane toiletries, Smart TV, air conditioning, coffee and tea service, safe, and free WiFi. Bathrooms feature either bathtub or shower with black-and-white mosaic tile floors.
Executive Room
The top standard room tier. Full retro design with natural materials and high-quality furnishings. Hidden chess table is one of the signature quirks in this category. Views to city streets or garden patios.
Family Suite
Located on the 5th floor — the top floor — with rooftop views stretching to the nearby city centre skyline. The only suite with a kitchenette, making it well-suited for longer stays or family weekends. The floor is shared with only a few other rooms and the fitness/PC room, so it's very quiet. No private patio, but the views compensate.
Garden Suite
One of the hotel's most distinctive rooms — the interior connects directly to a private garden patio of around 50m², offering outdoor seating among greenery and flowers in summer. Described as a 'treasure of the hotel.' Features a separate living room, sofa bed, and full suite-level finishes. Ideal for families or anyone wanting indoor-outdoor living in the city center.

A step up in space from Classic, still framed in the same retro aesthetic with patterned rugs, leather armchairs, and wood furniture. Some guests report these can be generously sized. Separate beds available on request. Suitable for families with a child.
Presidential Suite
