Catalina Suite

Deluxe Ocean View King Room
The most expansive, unobstructed ocean views in the main building room category — some overlook the Mosaic Pool. Same luxe finishes throughout with private balcony.
KingFounders Suite
An extra-large two-bedroom suite at the quiet south end of the resort with dramatic, unobstructed Pacific views. Fully equipped gourmet kitchen, dining for 6, large light-filled living room, and sliding doors opening to a private patio with lawn. The most residential option in the main building.
Horizon View King Room
Located in the Main Building with partial ocean views plus a private patio or balcony. The entry-level room tier but still delivers 400-thread-count linens, goose-down pillows, a marble bathroom with deep soaking tub and separate walk-in shower, and Fili Casa Egyptian cotton towels and robes.
KingOcean View Bungalow Suite (King)
Secluded bungalow-style suites in a separate building closest to the ocean. These have the feel of a private beach house — separate living area, most with a gas fireplace, private patio, and a queen-size sofa sleeper. One of the most sought-after room categories at the property.

The resort's showpiece — a mosaic-tiled infinity pool with Italian ceramic deck, adjacent whirlpool, children's pool and play area. Poolside service runs 11am–5pm. Cabana rentals start at 9am and include a dedicated host, server, and a complimentary bottle of champagne or rosé. Pool is saltwater. Open 24 hours; poolside service 11am–5pm.
Outdoor fire pits on the ocean lawn where guests gather at sunset, roast s'mores, and watch the Pacific. A signature Montage Laguna experience that costs nothing but creates the memories people come back for.
One of the best resort kids' programs in the US, for children ages 5–12. Thematically planned days (safari, pirate, luau, etc.) that blend arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, tidal pool tours, beach games, and creative activities. Offered in half-day and full-day sessions. Each child receives a souvenir drawstring bag. Staff are CPR/First Aid certified. Kids can earn 12 Merit Badges for activities ranging from catching a wave to riding the Laguna trolley.
The toddler version of Paintbox for ages 2–5. Indoor and outdoor activities, dramatic play, crafts and lawn games. Available by the hour at $75/child (plus $10 for lunch). Open 9am–4pm. Kids do not need to be potty-trained. Open to overnight guests and locals visiting the spa or restaurants.
Serene adults-only saltwater lap pool at Spa Montage with plush daybeds and Pacific views. Open daily 7am–7pm (daybeds available seasonally). Accessible to all guests with a spa treatment booking. A genuine escape from the busier Mosaic Pool.
The concierge arranges surfing lessons with local instructors and stand-up paddleboard rentals directly from the beach. Surf lessons with La Vida Laguna are a popular option.
Resort guests have access to Laguna Niguel Racquet Club with 22 championship tennis courts. Bookable through the concierge.
Self-guided or Paintbox-guided access to the property's tidal pools at low tide — home to sea urchins, starfish, and small fish. An Ocean Institute partnership brings educational programming for younger guests.
