Why It Matters
Arguably the best beach in Los Cabos — Santa Maria Bay is a protected marine sanctuary with calm, swimmable water in a region known mostly for dramatic but dangerous Pacific surf. A 40,000 sq ft Spa Montage anchors the wellness program, and the dining lineup (five restaurants plus in-room) is one of the strongest of any single resort in Baja.
Montage Los Cabos sits on 39 acres along Santa Maria Bay — one of the few genuinely swimmable beaches in the Los Cabos corridor. The resort has 122 guestrooms, suites, and casas, plus 52 privately owned Montage Residences scattered up the hillside. Nearly every room category comes with a private plunge pool option. Santa Maria Bay holds Blue Flag certification and is a protected marine sanctuary, so snorkeling right off the beach is legitimately good.
