Book Rossellinis the moment you confirm your stay — summer tables (especially July and August) fill fast and the hotel setting limits outside bookings

Why It Matters

One of the most photographed hotels on the Amalfi Coast. Conde Nast Traveler ranked it among the 50 Best Hotels in the World (2016) and named it Europe's best hotel in its Readers' Choice Awards. Rossellinis has held a Michelin star continuously and earned a Michelin Key in 2025. The building has hosted Wagner, Virginia Woolf, Eisenhower, Ingrid Bergman, and Roberto Rossellini — the restaurant is literally named for the latter.

Palazzo Avino sits 350 meters above sea level in Ravello's old aristocratic quarter, inside a 12th-century noble villa that the Avino family restored and reopened in 1997. Known locally as the Pink Palace, it's run today by sisters Mariella, Attilia, and Mariavittoria Avino, who've layered contemporary art and bold capsule-collection rooms over a foundation of handmade Vietri tiles, antique carpets, and 18th-century furnishings. The views — lush mountain ridges on one side, the shimmering Gulf of Salerno stretching toward Minori on the other — are the hotel's single most defining feature. Forty-three rooms and suites, a one-Michelin-star restaurant, and a private beach club 15 minutes down the hill round out the offer.
