Why It Matters
Opened 2022 in a landmark 1945 bank building. Restaurant overseen by Eneko Atxa, a 3-Michelin-star chef whose own Azurmendi restaurant has twice been named the world's most sustainable restaurant. Clefs d'Or concierge on staff. One of just a handful of five-star hotels in Bilbao.
The building that houses this hotel originally stood as the headquarters of the Banco Hispano Americano, completed in 1945. Radisson transformed it into their Bilbao flagship in 2022 with a striking Art-Deco interior — marble, natural stone, wood, earth tones, gold and blue accents. It sits on Gran Vía, Bilbao's main commercial strip, two minutes from Abando metro station and five minutes from the Old Town on foot. But the biggest reason to stay here is the food: three-Michelin-star chef Eneko Atxa runs the ground-floor restaurant, and the rooftop bar — vertical gardens, colorful parasols, sweeping city views — is one of the better spots for a drink in the city.

Presidential Suite – Terrace Hot Tub
The crown jewel on the top floor at approximately 754 sq ft. Two king bedrooms, twin vanities, a separate shower room and toilet, wardrobe and mini bar along the entrance hallway, designer round table. The private rooftop terrace has a sunken hot tub and outdoor seating with views over the streets below. Interior design is soft grey with a rich navy blue panel above the beds, gold-metal fixtures throughout. The whole thing feels like understated modern Basque elegance rather than showy excess.
