Why It Matters

Every single one of the 78 units has a private pool and jacuzzi — there is no standard room here. It also has a resident palace botanist who tends the gardens and offers tours, and a curated art collection made entirely by Bahraini artists.
Bahrain's first and only all-villa property, Raffles Al Areen Palace opened in December 2023 in the desert village of Zallaq, 45 minutes south of Manama. All 78 private villas surround their own temperature-controlled pool and jacuzzi, dressed in mashrabiya latticework and horseshoe arches, with every surface touched by locally commissioned Bahraini art. A one-bedroom villa with a private jacuzzi (not a full pool), plus access to communal areas including a shared Majlis, dining space, and communal pool. Good entry point into the property, though the full private-pool villas are the real experience.
KingOne Bedroom Private Pool Villa
The base villa experience — and it's not modest. A king bedroom sits within a U-shaped layout of mashrabiya latticework and horseshoe-arched ceilings. Outside: private courtyard, temperature-controlled pool, jacuzzi, four-poster daybeds, dining table, and a cabana. Separate private majlis and dining rooms flank the courtyard entrance. Fits couples or solo travelers perfectly.

The premium tier within the villa collection. Known for understated Arabian elegance and a spacious private courtyard. Multiple bedrooms, dedicated butler service, and ideally suited for the butler-led 'Royal Escape' package which includes minimum three nights and in-villa private chef dining.
