Why It Matters
As the brand's flagship resort, this is Raffles doing what Raffles does best: legendary butler service, serious spa credentials (largest in the Seychelles at 1,234 sqm), a UNESCO-adjacent location near the Vallée de Mai palm forest, and a coral rehabilitation project guests can actually snorkel through.
The first Raffles resort ever built, opened on Praslin in 2011 on a 30-hectare hillside and beachfront property inside a UNESCO area. All 87 villas come with a private plunge pool, and the resort sits right on 500 meters of Anse Takamaka beach with Curieuse Island in the frame. Getting here requires advance planning — there are no direct international flights to Praslin, so you're looking at a 15-minute domestic hop or helicopter from Mahé — but that logistical hurdle is, of course, most of the point.

Hillside Garden View Pool Villa
Light-filled villas set deep within tropical gardens for maximum privacy. The hillside location means limited ocean views, but in return you get serious seclusion and lush greenery on all sides. Every villa has a private plunge pool, open-air balcony with sundeck, sheltered pavilion with day bed, dining table, and BBQ setup.
Ocean View Pool Villa
Hillside villas designed for relaxation with sweeping Indian Ocean views. Steps up from the garden-view category in terms of scenery — you wake up to open ocean, not just garden.
Panoramic Pool Villa
Mountain-top position at the highest point of the property. The views here — sea, sky, palm forest — are as good as it gets on the estate. Worth noting that the golf cart journey from beach and restaurants is the longest of any villa type.
Two Bedroom Beachfront Pool Villa
Steps from the beach — these are among the most coveted addresses on the property. Two bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, 70 sqm living space, and a dedicated butler. The walk to Anse Takamaka is measured in seconds rather than minutes.
