Raffles Udaipur opened in 2021 on a 21-acre private island in Udai Sagar Lake, backed by the Aravalli hills. You don't drive up to a lobby — you arrive by boat from the lakeshore pavilion, which is roughly 20 minutes from the airport. The architecture is a striking mix of Palladian domes, Baroque gardens, Rajput chhatris, and Mughal stucco work, all filled with a curated collection of miniature paintings and original artworks. It's the first Raffles in India, and 137 rooms split across the island and a newer lakeshore building give guests two distinct moods of the same address.
