Heritage
Contemporary Lanna — clean lines and white palettes offset by hand-crafted artisanal touches. Serene and unpretentious. More of a cultural retreat than a flashy resort.

Why It Matters
Landed on the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List in 2021. One of only 38 suites, all of which are different, and the property spent two years commissioning hand-crafted pieces from local artisans before opening. Member of Leading Hotels of the World and Tablet Hotels.
Raya Heritage sits on the banks of the Ping River in the Mae Rim district, about 20 minutes north of Chiang Mai's old town. All 38 suites are arranged across low-impact three-story structures designed by Thai architect Boonlert Hemvijitraphan, and every corner of the place is filled with one-of-a-kind objects — hand-loomed textiles, woodcarvings, pottery — sourced directly from artisans across northern Thailand. The effect is less 'hotel lobby' and more 'very considered private home.' Think calm, slow, and intentional: cocktails by the river at dusk, morning yoga, rice-based northern Thai cuisine, and a spa drawing on Lanna healing traditions.
