One of France's most architecturally significant Belle Époque seaside hotels, completely reimagined by the Experimental Group. The 15-metre glass atrium is genuinely jaw-dropping. Frenchie Biarritz — chef Gregory Marchand's Basque outpost — is a serious dining draw in its own right. Built in 1907 by architect Henry Martinet, this Belle Époque landmark sits on a cliff above the Bay of Biarritz, flanked by the sea on one side and the historic Golf du Phare on the other. The Experimental Group took over and handed the interiors to their resident design genius Dorothée Meilichzon, who layered in nautical details, Basque reds, mint greens, and Art Deco bones around a soaring 15-metre atrium with an Eiffel-style glass roof. The result: a grand hotel that feels genuinely fun rather than stuffy, with Frenchie Biarritz holding down the restaurant and a serious cocktail bar underneath that spectacular glass ceiling.
