Why It Matters
One of Lamai's most established and consistently well-reviewed boutique properties. The Dining Room restaurant has an award-winning reputation and serves classical French cuisine steps from the ocean. The new elevated 'Ocean O-Zone' wing adds contemporary high-floor rooms with sweeping Gulf of Thailand views. Koh Samui airport is about 11 km away.
Rocky's sits in a secluded cove south of Lamai, sheltered by large granite rock formations that give the property its name and its character. Three small private beaches enclose the resort, and from the main free-form pools the Gulf of Thailand stretches out ahead of you with long-tail fishing boats drifting past in the morning. It's intimate — 47 rooms and 3 pool villas — and that small scale is the whole point.
