Batumi
Retro-coastal lifestyle hotel. Think 1970s flair meets Georgian Black Sea charm — bold color, natural materials, circular beds, old-style telephones, and a generally fun, sociable energy. The inner courtyard with palm trees gives it a calm center amid the buzz.
Book a sea-view room if the budget allows — the Old Town views are lovely too, but the sea-facing balconies are the showstopper
Why It Matters
Georgia's leading independent lifestyle hotel brand brought its design-forward ethos to Batumi's Old Town in a building with serious history. It's the only hotel in the city with a genuine rooftop pool and 360-degree views, and it's the coolest address in town by most accounts — a Michelin Guide pick, Design Hotels™ member, and Tablet Hotels listing all at once.
Rooms Batumi occupies a beautifully preserved late-19th-century building — originally a high-class hotel called Belle Vue — right in Batumi's Old Town. The design is confidently bold: a 1970s color palette of baby pink, white, yellow, and blue; natural wood; and signature round beds in select rooms. The rooftop pool with its 360-degree views of the Old Town and port is the undisputed centerpiece.
